Small Happiness

Hello! Almost done with the semester so hopefully that means more and more posts! This first picture is of my wedding magazines and the start (of what I hope to be) my veil! Its an experiment but I'm trying not to go broke tying the knot so I will be hand making a lot of details in this wedding. Also I have started a new journal today. One of my teachers, who is just amazing, always tells us, "what you don't know about yourself will rule you". I've been feeling quite overwhelmed lately, my room has been a disaster, I'm always working on homework last minute, and my diet is continually changing along with my weight (and usually not in a favorable direction). So I decided I would try to get to know myself and figure out what my stumbling blocks are. My first revelation has been, if it can't be done perfectly, fully, or give me instant gratification; I give up. I have no patience! No patience= no production for me! My first order of business was to create a game out of cleaning for 10 minutes. Then after I praised myself for my work and forgave myself for not having it all the way done. Sneak Peak

A couple projects I'm working on. The first is a warm, cozy hat using chunky yarn and the second is for a little boy that I watch now and again. I'm going for a seventies themed color scheme and I'm excited to start on this hat for him using those colors!

A wonderful weekend.

Guess who finally got to go to The Boiling Crab? We had tried on Friday, but the place was packed so we went to a different location on Sunday and got served right away. Needless to say, the boyfriend was happy. =)



Also I spent the weekend watching The Lord of the Rings.. again. I'm keeping track of how many times I watch it so I can give others evidence about how crazy I really am. These are a few of my favorite scenes. (but really they are all my favorite)

Outfit Post

So I haven't really mastered a good way to take pictures of my outfits so I apologize for the messy room. This is what I wore on Tuesday. My new hat, jeans from Forever 21, boots from Target, leather jacket from American Vintage, and T-shirt thrifted.





My DIY photos did not turn out so great so I'm going to try again this weekend. Ha! still figuring all this out! Thanks for reading!

Winter Camp and My Newest Creation

My floppiest, warmest, most simple and casual hat yet, in a royal blue. I LOVE it. I added a pom pom to the back to and its perfect in my eyes. Its so cozy and the color makes any outfit just a bit more exciting. Should it go in the August collection? Let me know in the comments below.



And a few more pics of the weekend... The last few are of the outfit I wore Saturday which a got a handful of compliments on. I was pretty elated. =))







Sorry about the really blurry one, its the only one I could get of the whole outfit and to be honest I kind of love the way it looks. My outfit was a long black sleeve shirt and black tights and black boots with a coral pleated skirt. I wore my black leather jacket with it to face the cold.

There are a few more pics but I'm pretty tired because Wednesdays are super busy. I am experimenting with my very first DIY but I have to see how the pictures come out before I get too crazy... Also just got a BUNCH of yarn from a friend so I'm thinking a give-away? Let me know what you think!

Meet my new friends...

I was having a bad night on Sunday and Matt asked what would cheer me up. I asked him if we could get a cactus. And without even hesitating he said SURE! hah I love the whole Southwestern vibe right now and I thought a little baby cactus would be great, we got 2! Meet my new friends Sharky and Goldberry. (Yes they have names, and yes those names are from LOTR)



I'll be editing the photos from my weekend trip today so I will try to have another post tomorrow. Thanks for sticking with me!
